a week of working on old and new projects

This week I was working on getting projects done. Before we left for the weekend in Reno. This is the kit I ordered while in Aspen in July, got it in Sept. and we , Karen Dorothy and I cut them and started them last week I finished the top this week, My new project the top is done and ready to be in the quilting line. "Shadows"

Now this quilt top was started in 2006 as a block of the month for the guild we each picked out the pattern we wanted and provided the pattern and in my case the material for each block. Gave it to members and friends and they did the block and got it back to us. Each signed their blocks. I embroidered over the signatures and finally got the top put together. Another for the quilting line up. "Friendship Basket"

This Has been a year in the making I've had the parts ready to assemble since the summer before our last retreat. I wanted to take the class at retreat but as I was in charge couldn't. Then we had a make up class the week I was in Reno with the new little Olivia. So Last month My friends in our quilt group helped me start the weaving process. I kept putting it aside as got frustrating. Finally determined to be done and got it completed this week It is an awesome pattern but probably won't do another one as it was a mind teaser, and frustrating.
