Checking out San Angelo

So on Monday we decided to see what their was to see around here. These cactus' were everywhere. fields of them.

We wondered if they were eatable, the spines are a bit threatening

But the purple flowers were really pretty.

Next we checked out the visitors center which was really neat.

Over looking the Contra river where you get "Contra Pearls" use to be lots but have

been over harvested so need a license to dive for them now.

We also went to a quilt store the lady who owned it was very helpful and told us about the sheep we saw all over they are purchased by store owners and decorated apparently sheep use to be a major thing in Texas. Who knew.
