Sew much to do soooo little time

My question is where does the time go? I have big plans to get all these fabulous gifts made for Christmas and then I get caught up in several projects and can't seem to get them all done in time. My plan was to get the things together to mail by Monday. Well it's Wends and you guessed it the package for family is lacking the sewing projects and the one for a friend is lacking the tie I 'veg put where I'll remember it and I've forgotten where that is. I have about five weeks till the quilt retreat I'm in charge of and its also not even close to being pulled together. So here I am with another day of rushing to get things done and not having enough time. What I'd like to know is why when you are waiting for news, time drags on but when you need to get things done time flies by. I can't get that. Anyway I'll get back with pics when I finally get caught up. No I haven't got the house decorated or the Christmas cards in the mail yet. Two more projects that I plug away at slowly.
