Quilter's Paradise

Ron and I have been married for over 30 years and have four wonderful children. We also have been blessed with several grandchildren whom we love more with each passing day. My hobbie of choice lately is quilting. I can't seem to get enough! Join me as I share my talents and stories about my crazy patchwork life.

Determined to have lilacs

When we got back from Jen's with the days being warm and night
cold I decided four years with no lilacs surviving was enough....so I
was forced to fool mother nature. With Ron's willingness to help we
broke out the Christmas lights strung them around the bush and found
the largest tarp we owned and each night we would plug in the lights
and cover what we could. Did it work?
Yes, it did Just before I left for sisters weekend I took this picture.
We couldn't save them all but I was able to save enough to pick a
bunch and fill the house with that wonderful lilac scent...
The underneath had the best flowers... So yes to Ron who didn't
quite agree that the lilacs were more important than the fruit trees.
But humored me anyway.
Yippy Skippy I can do the happy lilac dance!!!
No I didn't include any dance pics sorry .

I'm married to my childhood sweetheart for 33 years. We have three beautiful daughters, with great husbands. And A talented son. All have given us joy and are a source of great pride. Our daughters have blessed us with wonderful grand children 8 to date, 6 girls and 2 boys. We try to see them as often as possible. Some of my favorite things in life is quilting, reading and riding motorcycle with my honey. I'm trying to get back into painting. And while I should garden I have a black thumb so tend to leave that to Ron, along with the genealogy work. for all this I thank my Heavenly Father for loving and blessing me much in this live.I love working with the youth of the church as they keep me on my toes. I've lived in Northern N.Y., Penna. and now Utah each having it's own unique beauty. Life is good and if you follow my blog you will see why.
