Sisters weekend Plus

I didn't think I'd make it for sisters week end this year due
to finances but with the help of a buddy pass from Becca I
made it. Colleen and I got groceries and headed up to get
camp set up.
It was so peaceful and quiet we decided to start early. So
we stayed up Thursday.
While she got things turned on in camp I started a fire ,
I'm proud to say we kept it going the whole time. We'd fill
it up when we went to bed and who ever got up first would
get it going from the coals. pretty neat.
The weather was perfect warm days in the 80's and cool nights,
perfect for sleeping on the porch.
Friday morning while just chillin on the dock these Canadian
Geese touched down for a brief visit.
There was an early morning fog so it was pretty.
You tell me could there be a more perfect spot to vacation.
About 6:00 pm Patty made it up and Jacki joined us about
8 or so. We'd maid clam chowder , that lasted us the entire week.
Yummy. Holding to tradition we had enough food to feed a
third world country. So we took walks. Even though Patti said
she'd taken all the calories out.
We discovered this old car one afternoon, I though it was neat.
Then of coarse we made up a story as to how it got there...
Bonnie n Clyde? no , no bullet holes... running moon shine?
Coming up with an idea was fun.
This is looking down from the hill across from camp.
Patti bringin up the rear...no pun intended
Jacki out in front..... Colleen was trying to get Karen on
the phone so she could join in on the fun.
There was also reading time....
Some time to read till we fell asleep at nap time.
And time to just take in the sun and enjoy the out doors.
I surprised mom and so she was to busy to spend much time
with us, but she did come up after church on Sunday and spent
the night. And Foxy joined us to protect us.
Big surprise more food... never a lack of that on sisters weekend.
And a visitor or two to liven things up.
Another fun filled beautiful day dawns....
The traditional Sister pictures.....
And one with mom before she had to go do more census work.
Colleen Jacki and I spent most of Monday just enjoying camp.
Patti took mom out, I think earlier than she'd planned ,
but she needed to get birthday cake for Derek who turned 16
before he got home from school.
Tues day morning and we were up early, closing up camp...
Cleaned up the fore place.. and all cleaned up for the next visitors.

One last walk and then Patti arrived to pick us up we went
back to take showers change and take mom to lunch. The
week was terrific I enjoyed time with the girls, the sun and
the serenity of camp before the crowds of summer. I had an
awesome time thank, to al my sisters for making it such a fun time.
Thanks to brother in laws for trips to and from the airport. I love you all.
And Next year hope to see you all out here.
