Youth Conference June 2010

So we met at Bassets corner at 1:30 PM on Thursday
to leave at 2 we actually left about 3 so arrived a little
after 6 pm I had to take a picture of this tree as I found
it very unique. Kinda looks like it has a story to tell.
Anyway we got to the property that would be home for
next three days. The girls got to set up some of us slept
in the cabin and the rest set up three tents outside and some
of the girls set their cots up out under the stars. Then we
grabbed our coats and flashlights and headed to the pavilion.
Dinner wasn't ready yet so we hung out and chatted.
Some of the boys tossed around a football...
Some of us like Cat just hung out lookin fabulous...
Bishop Grant told us a bit about the ranch and his wife's
relatives who own it, a few of the rules which he let Sis Pectol give.
So nice. She gets to be the heavy. We had an awesome dinner.
Chandler headed up a fun game, That seemed to keep the
youth occupied.
Katherine seemed to enjoy a good conversation with Chris.
Than Chandler ( Brother Olsen) gave a wonderful devotional
on distractions and how we need to keep them from taking us
away from the things we need to be doing to get back to Heavenly
Father.

Then it was time to prepare Skits. Prepared by Sis. Curry the
youth were divided into 10 groups of 4 each and given a bag
of props and a topic on the outside. Music, Scriptures, Prayer,
Good Examples, Work, Faith Hope & Charity, Humility, Purity,
Obedience to Commandments and Sabbath Observance.

Each group had about 10 mins. to come up with a plan...
Than they performed their skit for us...
They all did a great job...
And we the leaders were totally entertained... I think the Bishop
laughed the loudest. It was fun for us all. And when we were done
the girls headed back up to camp. to settle down for the night. The
boys settled down and were all quiet by 11:30 pm The girls , well oddly
enough they were up and quit lively till after 3:30 am
