Thurs day afternoon classes included this Star quilt
These Feathered star quilt pattern

and this reverse trip around the world pattern
This is a traditional block and I can't wait to get the quilt top done.

This is Gary the hotel manager hand quilting in the lobby. You may recognize the quilt. The blocks were sewn by great grammie Lyndaker the Crochet centers were done by grandma Lyndaker. And I Put it together did some quilting on it along with the girls and even some of the grandchildren. So want to finish it for Ron for his Birthday. A five generation project with the help of a few friends.

After a lunch break we all met back together for a trunk show by a local sewing circle "The Ladies of the Evening" Here are their Lone Star quilts.
This is my accomplishments for the 1/2 day class. My garden trellis is in the winter.
This was my first class(not a good idea to take a class on the first morning as I missed alot with the running in and out), but did manage to get enough blocks assembled to have the pattern in mind. This is the teacher Virginia Holyoak teaching "Garden Trellis"
Welcome to our third annual quilt retreat here in Cedar City Utah. It started Wed. evening at 7p.m. with a meet the teacher and a helpful hint lecture. fun and informative. I was the chairman so was a bit crazy and actually had my eyes opened to a different side of people. But I will deal with that, by not dwelling on the negative. On the whole the retreat was a huge success.we will get together in Feb to evaluate and tally up to get the final results but we had few complaints. And a great time was had by all.
