We started the new year out quietly. Ron Worked late on New years eve and I finally got to talk with my friend Cheryl from Pa who'd gotten in terrible accident before Christmas. Then Ron was called to the hospital to give a blessing to a man from our ward who was sick. After we were all done for the night we settled in to watch a movie, till just before midnight when we watched the Times Qquare footage from 2 hours earlier. And rang in 2009. finished our movie and off to sleep. On the 2nd we went up to salt lake to visit with Chris Nicole Victoria and Christianna. Pat and Shelly road up with us. We had a fun visit. Ron and I took Christianna to lunch and a movie for a late birthday gift. Than all 6 of us went to see Body World the story of the heart. It was very interesting and learned how truly awesome the human body is. I can't say I enjoyed the hour wait till we could actually get in with our prepurchased tickets but the exhibit was good. However our feet were really tired after we took an additional 2 1/2 hour to view the exhibit. then we returned home on Sunday.
Oh and Patrick has some exciting news he has an audition with an established band in Boston next week. He actually flys out on Sat the tenth. so we are all praying for him. This does however mean that he will once again be moving back in with us , but just till he moves to Boston. And oh, on Tues the 6th after he got done with work he borrowed the car and trailor to go get his stuff and after just leaving the house he called to tell me there was a change of plans. When I enquired as to what he said to look out the window. And what to my wondering eyes should appear but an accident at the intersection. He decided to give us a parting gift and rearrange our car. Nice Huh.
No he wasn't hurt he ifs very lucky, and we think that he was saved once again for something special. Perhaps to be a famous guitarist in a rock n roll band. 
Got hit right square in the drivers door....
Yes ,the car is totalled.. we'll be shopping for a new means of transportation. Oh, happy day.But thank the Lord he wasn't hurt, and as Pat said " my fingers still work and I can play the guitar.

Mom...seriously, you couldn't call?? I am glad that I updated myself with other's blogs today or I wouldn't have known. Very glad that he is ok - but what a bummer about the car!
Yep, she was keeping this a secret to shock us on her blog, nice huh. (I think she is catching the sickness: "I can't wait to blog about this!") Ha ha!
I am so glad Pat is okay and we hope he does well at his audition!
