Welcome to day two and three

Janet was at the front desk with a warm smile and a willing heart ready to help us with our needs. Friday our full day started with several classes. I didn't take a morning class so was able to keep up.

The afternoon had more classes to offer this was Tera Anderson's paper piecing class. I didn't even manage to finish one block in this class. But it was fun.

We broke for dinner at 5:30 p.m. and returned at 7pm in our jammies for our trunk show, We were honored with Jeana Kimball our international teacher. She told us her story through quilts from when she started at age 12. And we saw her progress to date .A special note She hand applique's her quilts, and hand quilts them. And has written many books about the quilts she has designed.
The true highlight was the all night sew and pajama party, complete with popcorn, chocolate and movies, well we never actually got to the movies this year. We had so many door prizes donated to us and we were having so much fun chatting and sewing we decided we didn't need the movies. I held out to 2 am. then decided to go home for a bit of a rest.

There was much excitement in the air as we gave out the door prizes . here is Dorothy doing her happy dance after receiving a pearl bracelet. There were a couple ladies who sewed till 3:30 am.

I over slept and so didn't make it back till 8:50 am and I was smart enough to not take any classes today. but there were 6 classes on Sat am. Here is Linda Walther's Disappearing 9 Patch class.

Scott busy sewing in class.

The hubbies taking down the quilt show. The quilts and all else packed up and we are done for another year. I get a week to try to catch up on house work and projects. We have an evaluation meeting in a week then we are off and running on next years planning.

A funny side note the young women's pres asked me on Sunday if I was tired of seeing quilts.
I responded not hardly I've got 3 quilts started from the classes I took and 3new quilt kits, and 3 new patterns. Funny how I work in 3's. So I need to get busy yes I also have Crystal and Tom's quilt to finish, Julie"s quilt, and a quillow that was ordered before Christmas I'd like to get them done in Feb. So I'm off and sewing like a crazy woman.
