More fun and frolic

Friday after catching up on the weeding and such we were off to the Freedmont Indian St. Park.

we took a couple hikes this was at the Sheep cave
The girls with grandma, yes I went along.

The girls checking out a pit shelter

more petroglyphs

In the museum there was a discovery area for children the girls
spent most of time here playing and checking out things like this
mood rock. Totally cool!!

Christianna offering us some delicious blackberries.

Victoria totally got into the native atmosphere with the hide dress
to play.

She didn't like the fox skin fur, kept saying poor fox.

Grampa's stying in his skunk fur though, don't ya think?

Is it really time to leave??? O.K.

In the museum the girls ground corn just like the Indians did.

So we came home and made our own Petroglyphs. this is mine the
Interlocking circles are actually my favorite quilt block, with Ron
and I in the center, each adjacent circle is each of the kids. There is a
peace sign in each of the three girls squares as each of our son-in
laws have or do keep peace. In the ovals that are in the intersections
are the grandchildren with a small star for Aiden, and yes I added
Olivia she's almost here. I also have trees, water and mountains to
represent life and nature, which we love.

This is Christianna's she did a moon with stars and while carving
it out she added bullet holes like we'd seen some that had been vandalized.

This is Victoria's sun/moon combo. They did a great job.

Thursday we stopped by the guild briefly to get patterns and a
couple errands and it was time for the park with water

The girls totally enjoyed playing in the water

Then it was home for supper and some people who came from Vegas to check out Pat's motorcycle. They were older and they loved it Tracy who was a widow for 14 years had decided she wanted to have a motorcycle she was thrilled with the bike and they even wrote us a letter after they got it home to thank us for being so nice and honest with them she is gonna love it. Victoria was a little sad as it was the first motorcycle she's ever ridden but Tracy assured her it was her first motorclyle and that she would take really good care of it.

Mom - you and Dad were awesome with the girls for the week! We really appreciated all the time you took to watch them. We need to do fun stuff like that when we are there too...oh I love the skunk boa. You know there are only so many people that can pull that off & Dad is definitely one of them!
