August 4th

Here's the birthday boy home from a hard day at work!!!! Not sure ,but that looks a bit serious for birthday cards, and present opening if I asked him he'd say " I am smiling!"

Now that is the smile the day deserves.

Then it was off to Discovery park... for the end of the summer Bar-B- Que
for the youth. Ron is finally relaxing a bit while he talks with Crystal.

Brother and Sister Angus seriously this is gonna be a fun activity!!!

The burgers and hot dogs are ready and the food has been blessed
Time to eat...

And visit a bit......

Then it was time for a fun game of kick ball,
boys against girls, I believe the girls whipped them good.

Even Sister White got a run,

The guys all full of confidence , which was quickly dashed.

So it was time to lay down the plastic on a side hill, add some
dish soaps and water, then hose the kids down and you have guaranteed
fun!!!
All you need is a running start, then leap and fall gracefully and gravity takes care of the rest.

their were some fun techniques,

And everyone had lots of fun

Amazingly we can even look fabulous while wet and sudsy

Their was even some group slides

And eventually every one took a try...Well almost Then we had to see who could go the farthest.....

most managed to miss all the rocks.. and some even went past the plastic

Once we decided it was time to close down Brother Christianson even gave it a try.
So of course then everyone had one more turn so a half hour of water games
turned into over an hour. but was lots of fun and only a couple minor injuries
And as it was getting dark we packed up and all headed home.
We'd ridden the motorcycle and this was how awesome the sunset was

By the time we got home the moon was out and looking pretty fine itself
So it was a long day for our guest of honor "The Birthday Guy"
but a fine ending to the day. Ron is now 53 and still the love of my life.
I can't imagine going through life with out him being part of it. So am
looking forward to many more years of fun filled days together.

Happy Birthday dad! We sure do love you. I could not have asked for a better man for a father, an example, and a grandfather for my kids. You are awesome and we love you so much!!
