time for projects

Besides holding the little darling... Swinging Emma at the park Who by the way calls me "grandpa"

Spending time watching Rory play and chat with her...

Watching Ethan climb around the outside of the playground,
run, jump, ride his big bike, and talk with him after school...

We were able to get some projects done and worked. The relief society
had given Jen material for little blankets for snuggling for the new babies
born into the ward(they have alot) Anyway one afternoon I sewed them up
One blue (the sample) and 27 pink.
Jen started her flip flop quilt that she'd been planning over a year.
This is why the three trips to JoAnns. It will be a way cute picnic/
park day blanket when she's done.
She had gotten all the 20 blocks of flip flops done and sewn together
into rows. and was starting on the log cabin blocks for the borders.

I brought several projects, a sunflower strip quilt that needed three sunflowers hand appliqued on. Now I hope to get it quilted to put into the fair. Also worked on a cross stitch crib blanket for Crystal's little one. And I cut out two girl Blessing dresses. and a cape from satin I'd brought along. Got the cape and dress of one sewn together. brought home and am adding the embellishments and making a matching hankie hat to put it in the fair. I am way liking it and may put it in the state fair though. I will add pics of my entries when I'm done with the catch up of the Reno trip.
