While the Cat's away...

While the Cat's away the mouse will quilt!!!
And i have been quilting up a storm in the past week I finished these blocks using hand dyed fabrics I started this quilt a year ago and so now all the blocks are done including the label for the back. I need to get some black and sash the blocks together. These blocks are the same design only used a red fabric in them all . I was actually doing them together so they too need to be sashed together.

On Thursday I took a class at the guild and we did this B Q pattern I used up some fabric I had so made this lap quilt it is all ready to quilt I did the back and tag and had it done by Thurs night.

I am doing this quilt for our Bishop. I have lots of snowball blocks done as well as nine patches I ham giving the snowball blocks to the families in our ward to put a favorite saying, scripture , or memory then get them back to me my goal is to have the quilt done and quilted by the ward Christmas party. So far I have the top row done save 1more block returned. that means only 17 more rows to go. It will be 135 block each of the snowballs and nine patch when done should be queen size.

This little kit I got at the retreat in Jan and sat down and put it together in a day added borders next day and got a brown minke back with tag all ready to quilt. Hard to tell but it is a lap quilt in peaches and teals.

These are civil war blocks I took this block of the month last year at Mormon handy craft got a bit behind on my blocks and then this year our guild is adding to the civil war blocks for our block of the month. I'm in the process of tea, and coffee staining some muslin now for the sashing. Then I will make them into a lap quilt.
I have done the backs with tags for five other quilts from twin to king size. So at the moment I have seven quilts ready to be quilted . I plan to do most of them on my machine myself but a couple of the bigger ones I will send out. Plan to drop on at the quilter's on my way to Salt lake next week.
And I have made 4 sets of these placematt table runner sets. I use them as wedding gifts. this one I didn't get done for the intended couple so now it is ready for someone else
Three of the sets looked like this two had orange backs. They are bright and fun I gave one away on Tuesday to one couple and now I'm three ahead. yippy skippy.
So that's what Ive done in the past week and a half. At least I'm staying out of trouble. And I will have lots of quilting to keep me busy for the next couple months
