Home again.. going thru wild fire

So we got up and cleaned thru the cabin, Judy Mona and Judy left first,
while Dorothy, Karen and I finished up the laundry and made the beds.
We were on our way by 10;30 am. we made a couple stops on way home in
Grand Junction at fabric store and for lunch. We also stopped for Peaches, and
Melons. but still got home before the others funny huh? Anyway as we got near
Richfeild it was really smoky.
I took some pics and could see why they'd closed I 70 a couple
days at beginning of week.
I almost missed the pic of the Helicopter as it flew up right
beside us at one point on its was to the fire site.
It was nasty and we saw signs not to call as it was a wild fire,
why they have these controlled burns I'll never understand
they always seem to get out of control...
Much damage is done and people lose their homes... very sad.
Anyway the trunk was popped and I was released from the car,
we got all my stuff in the house gave the girls some produce from the
garden and they went home. Another Aspen retreat comes to an end...
Ron has told me he has plans for me the next couple weeks, so it'll be work ,
work, work.
