My days in Aspen

Each morning I would get up and between 7:20 and 8:30 I would take a walk. the walk was mostly up hill on the way, so the way home was mostly down but a good work out.
I saw some flowers, and great scenery...
and Aspen groves.....

love this creek...
Now it's down the hill I just walked up...
I saw these two horses each morning ...
they got closer each day....
And this was on my way home, so yes mostly downhill
What a beautiful skyline...

Then I'd see the road sign and turn down...
Thought this lone red tree in all the green was interesting...
One little red tree by the pond...
And back to the cabin.... for a shower and dressed for the day
The creek behind the cabin..
our little friendly blue jay visiting...
And it is time to get to sewing... we made our own breakfasts
and lunches... We took turns on dinners. Friday; I made pulled
pork sandwiches with pickled beets and corn from the garden.
Saturday; Dorothy made Chicken and dumplings. Sunday; Karen
made bean and ham hock soup with cornbread. Monday Judy S.
made Steak s with asparagus and salad. Tuesday; Mona made
Hawaiian haystacks . Wednesday ; Judy R made barbecued hamburgers
with chips . Thursday; our last night here we will go into Aspen for dinner.
Karen busy sewing on her boyscout lap quilt...
Judy R working on purses, she had us all pick out our material
and she is making us a purse for Christmas, I will make each a
matching note pad holder.
Mona adding borders to one of her quilts...
Dorothy cutting out her next project...
Judy S working on her civil war blocks only works on them
in Aspen so may take her awhile to finish the quilt.
I worked on my inside out jacket Friday finished after a bit ,
the snipping and a couple quilts that I'd had cut out last year.
Got 1 quilt top done, 1 done up to the borders that want to
make for twin bed, think that'll end up going to Alex when older.
Also started another purse but need to do quilting at home.
This year I decided I'd sew during the day and play the games
with the girls after dinner so as not to miss out on that fun part
worked out great.
