Sunday

Church was at 9am so we started out the day there. When
we arrived these two boys flew out of their car and ran to get
the doors for us, what good deacons. The members remembered
us from last year. Than it was back for lunch and we went to
St. Benedick's Monastery. Set back away from everything and everyone.
Steve told us there was no one around and to just walk around.
So we did. This is the chapel.
Close up of stain glass window...
The library....
There are resident though and Brother Thomas came out to
tell us about the place, and give us a tour. He'd been here since
1969 came to help them in the fields. Lived in a dorm for 7 years
but now has his own room. Likes that better as quieter. There
are 13 monks living here all the time. When we asked if they
go in to town he said their are two brothers who go do shopping
on Fridays but he has had no reason to go, has everything he needs
right here.
So we headed out. Below is a pic of where they hold retreats
looks pretty peaceful to me.

So Back to cabin and had wonderful dinner, and played games
with the girls, hot bath and off to bed.
