Be it ever so humble ...

So about 4:30 we got into Glensprings, we stopped by the little Quilt shop, then stroled around town went to dinner at an Italian resturant and hung out till Karen and Dorothy returned with the grandkisd to meet Karen's Daughter. She lives in Denver and her kids are spending the week with their cousins. then it was 40 miles to the cabin . A quick stop at the market for last min items and we arrived about 8pm or so. So I'll take you on a brief tour.

The right side of front porch

The left side

Judy welcoming me in the Front door Karen in the kitchen notice the counters and stove fan light
are all copper.

Back to the front door . Steve and Lucy are into antiques and have been
collecting them. This door is an antique

You enter into the great room with this awsome chadaier
and the bear they purchased in Lake Placid New York.

I particularly loved the Santa in this sleigh behind one of
the Leather couches.

This is one of four fireplaces, the only wood burning one,
a law in Colorado only 1 allowed. It is two sided with the
dinning room on the other side. I'll show you that and the
family room when I show us sewing and the food we were
forced to eat.
The enterance to the master bed room sweet
you walk by a little sinning area on one side and a destk on the other.
Nice master bedroom complete with electric fire place and my favorite
a window seat.

there is a walk in closet , a potty room and then the master bath.
Totally awsome.

The mirrors are framed with antlers, and sinks and tub are marble

Totally love this tub!!!!!!!!!

The staircase is wide enough for several to walk up at the same time.

You need to have a seat after coming up the stairs.

There are four bedrooms upstairs and a little office. each has its own bath
The first room had a rathe small shower. all in rocks

And this neat dresser A large clost complete with monogramed robes

This is where Judy R. and I stayed. Neat as we left the window
whole time and could hear the creek running All night long.

This is our end of the hall. notice the sadles on the railing.

This is the middle bedroom. Has a shower bath combo.

The hall leading to Karen and Dorothy's rooms

Karen's is the only room on the other side of the hall. She has a walk in
closet and an apartment washer and dryer. Along with this
awsome bathroom with a walk in shower jacuzi tub combo
Yes she allowed me to take two long soaking baths while there.
I owe here big time!!!!!
Her own electric Fire place.

And this neat antique bed , with her Meet Me in Paris Quilt.
Sure pays to be Steve's sister.

Which brings us to Doroty's room She asked to be able to here the stream
from her room and thhis is her veiw. Pretty nice huh.

She has this awesome walk in shower, I used that a few times.
It's a steam shower so way relaxing.

This is her bed so she also made the quilt for it.

And here is Dorothy finishing her book before we go for a morning walk.

So as you can see we really had to rough it here in the woods of Colorado.
Something I'd be willing to even do again if asked. Arn't I a trouper?

Wow, that does look like a rough place to stay for a week. Remember, I am a glutton for pain so next time bring me along on your agonizing trip. he he
