Leaving Aspen

We were almost packed except for last minute items and we had breakfast and headed to Maroon Lake. About 10 minutes from the cabin we took a tour bus up. And it was neat Thought we were gonna hike a bit but that didn't happen but got a wonderful tour and some good pics. Figure this tells the story best.

This is an actual avalanche shoot. pretty interesting. Welcome to the Maroon Valley and the White River National Forest. Here we can explore a Glacial Valley surrounded by 14,000-foot peaks.view the vast fields of wildflowers, and be close to nature.

The Maroon Bells form a backdrop that epitomizes what the Rocky Mountains are all about.

Mirrored in the waters of Maroon Lake, the Maroon bells tower like sentinels over the valley, The red color and distinctive bell shape led explorers to give the Maroon Bells their name.

Good bye Little Deuce Coupe...We had a wonderful week. We're sad to go and hope to return again soon.
As we head home this is a view of a hot springs pool in Glenwood Springs

Good Bye Colorado and on our way back to Utah. We left about 11:30 am
And stopped in Grand Junction to have some lunch and check out a couple more shops. Pretty good shops they were and then it was back on the road but at 11:30 pm when Ron called to check on when I'd be home we were in Richfeild 2 hours away still. We filled up in Cedar and it was $54,00 each for the four of us not bad at all.
We dropped off Mona and Dave met us there and picked up Judy S. Then Judy dropped me off Ron woke up and unloaded my stuff and Judy headed home . She did and awesome job driving all the time and did a great job. Lots of generous people mad this getaway truly a wonderful success.
So it's Monday morning and Ron is back to work on his way back to Vernal and hopefully they'll finish by July 4th. I got all unpacked and did laundry. Then I laid out my purchases for the last Picture . I have 1 quilt and several patterns, a couple books and fabric , some is even for specific projects. Actually most of it is.
